The bitter cold brings barren branches, cozy blankets, and the fireplace burning from morning 'til bed. I wait for the first snow to fall in the new year and dream of cozy days to come. Winter warms my heart with days laced with slow.
My calendar is fairly empty thus far and the blank squares offer much comfort after so much busy of December. It happens year after year. I long for quieter holidays and yet, I always find myself rushing around. January rolls around and I start the new year exhausted. I hope to use my goals/plans to help me again this year and hopefully do a little better when the holidays roll around.
January plans:
-:- start reading my Bible in 90-180 days / giving myself grace in the 90 day reading plan
-:- create/embrace "quiet" times
-:- do a puzzle - a quiet activity
-:- at least 1 date with dear husband
-:- Disney with my mom & girls - week long trip
-:- find our homeschool rhythm again
-:- give 10+ pieces of clothing to thrift store / declutter closet
-:- healthier eating & sleep habits (go to bed earlier and get up a little earlier)
