This is one of those moments that I wish I would have tried this sooner. For many years, probably at least 10+, I always ordered these from ChocolateGelt.com Each year, the rising shipping costs made this harder and harder. This year, I had them in the cart, but those shipping prices just were not in the budget, so I went on a quest to find a recipe.
I found one and it was easy and homemade is sooooo much better! Traditional hamantaschen is commonly made with poppyseed filling and I was surprised to find some local. I will admit that making it with apricot filling was much better.
The recipe I used and will be continuing to use for years to come was from The Nosher - and titled appropriately The Best Hamantaschen.
Happy Purim!
