Perspective of this reflection - Nature humbles us. We are truly dependent upon it.
The puddles are forming, storms have been constant, and the thirsty earth is craving the downpours. I love the rain and counting the mud and puddles as a gift. The constant cleaning of floors is a reminder of the days, months, and years we prayed for rain among the drought. We lost trees and contemplated forgoing a garden because of the strain it could put on our well. We rationed water, gave up showering every day, and held off flushing toilets as our part in conserving the natural resource that we often take for granted.
Today, as more storms are coming, I pause and lift up whispers of praise towards the hovering gray clouds above. An answer to do many prayers. I know that in my life, the beauty of rain is something I will always remember as part of my

yes we are dependent on the earth, and need to care for it as we would ourselves, our lives depend on it.
