We finally had our first day of snow falling during the day - all day! It's supposed to be our fun celebration day with snowman fun. I've been waiting since December for a daytime snow to fall, but unfortunately it happened at the same moment the miserable flu virus had hit our home. One daughter was able to enjoy the sweet little snowman donut while the other two laid around sleeping on and off. No outdoor snow play for us, but we did enjoy watching the snow flakes drift downward throughout the day.
On a side note, it was a really hard day for Daughter H who had her double digit birthday on this very day but instead was running high temperatures. We ended up heading to Urgent Care the next morning - after the sun came out and the roads were a little safer to drive on. My heart hopes that she improves and doesn't develop pneumonia. Her chest x-rays looked okay pending the radiologist report but she's on antibiotics and resting.
Now we pray that the rest of us our spared.
