February - love is an action
The first thing that came to heart about love was 1 Corinthians 13. Love is an action. It's sacrificial and a powerful gift.1. Love is patient. I struggle in being a patient person. It's an area over the years, that I continually have to work on and slow down. Patience is still a virtue.
2. Love does not envy. That act of comparison steals joy. Being content what we have is beauty full.
3. Love is not proud or rude. Ever sit and just watch people around you. It's always amazing to see love in action. The person who lets another move ahead in line at the grocery store. The little boy that holds the door for you. The pause to see love around you - slowlaced.
4. Love is not easily angry. This ties in with action of patience. We all get angry. It's how we react when we are angered.
5. Love keeps no record of past mistakes. Ugh! This is so hard for the human mind to just let go of things that have hurt us.
6. Love does not delight in evil. This area seems fairly obvious, but it's an area of caution to not become hardened on the wrong segment of evil. Politics comes to heart as I ponder this area. We need to be angry with the sin and still love the sinner.
7. Love rejoices in truth. The Bible, without fail, will always clarify the truth. The truth can be a difficult path to follow, but it is praiseworthy.
8. Love is being present. It's not a tangible thing that you an buy, it's being there - your presence.
9. Love is hope. The gift of the Father's Son gave us hope. Hope to carry on. Hope to improve. Eternal hope.
10. Love never fails. THIS!
