Slow Moments - Quiet Beginnings

With my quest to live more quietly, I started to restore order to our home after the holidays and plan for a slower and quieter beginning to the new year.  A french toast casserole was ready to pop in the oven first thing New Year's Day and we enjoyed eating on trays and watching the Rose Parade with a wood burning fire in the fireplace. I lit my husband's favorite candle - Campsite Coffee, and just let myself dream of a relaxing day outdoors sitting by a campfire.

Potato & leek soup was prepped for the crock pot.  So warm and a perfect beginning to quiet.

I set out to do a puzzle.  I hadn't done one in a while and it was on my goal list.  I found a fun vintage breakfast theme.  I forgot how relaxing puzzles are to put together and already have another puzzle in mind for more quiet moments.

The girls enjoyed a day in pajamas and playing/using new things from Christmas.  I didn't take any pictures and just enjoyed watching and listening.

My Bible time has had a slow start, sadly, but I'm going to persevere.  I will be making this priority because it should be and I want it to be.  It's a cherished freedom.  We now have a Life Application Bible and want to dig deeper as I read from cover to cover.

It was a good, slowlaced, quiet beginning to the new year.
