heat wavers off tar patches in the broiling alleyway....
I stare out over rooftops,
past chimneys, into the way off distance.

I hug Mamma hard,A sweet read aloud that we would recommend. Wrap up together under a blanket and enjoy this book with a cup of honey sweetened hot tea.

Praying for a season of much needed rain! "Come on, rain!" I whisper, too.
