A must field trip when visiting the Las Vegas area in Nevada. Ethel M Chocolate Factory did not disappoint for a free field trip and chocolate! They had a short self guided tour but also offer a chocolate tasting class and a wine and chocolate tasting, too. I never knew that there was a proper way to devour chocolate, but there is.
I'm not big on chocolates, but dark chocolate and caramel and dark chocolate dipped strawberries are so good! Many of their chocolates are made with a special recipe and no preservatives.
We picked a really good time to visit as the temperatures were barely at the 70° mark. Perfect weather for chocolate and for visiting their really beautiful Botanical Cactus Garden - personally I enjoyed the cactus garden (post coming) more than the chocolate, but it was a really special day.
Afterwards we met up with family to eat at a nearby restaurant called Hash House A Go Go - Famous Home of twisted farm food.
YUM! I didn't even get pictures with family, but I did take pictures of the plates of food. The portions are HUGE and made from better ingredients than found at most restaurants. The display of the food or as cooking shows may say how they are "plated" were like that of fine dining. Drizzled with sauce on the edges and amazingly garnished. The fried noodle sticks were a fun little treat and new to my taste buds.
We might have gone at a slow time, but I was equally impressed that the noise level was quieter than expected. I have very sensitive ears and I was comfortable.
We will be on the look out for this restaurant chain whenever we travel.
...and I'm still quite a bit behind in blogging, but I have to prioritize life and still embrace the beauty of slow. Slow, but steady! Life isn't a race but a beautiful adventure.
