For today, March 11th
Looking out my window . . .
It is foggy and cold. A typical winter day on the mountain. The rains have brought mud all around the property and little dusty footprints on the wood floors leaving a visual path of each step.I am thinking . . .
that leaving the blinds closed with a coffee scented candle burning is a quiet and refreshing start to this Monday morning. No rush - a slow morning - as the daylight savings time change is making it hard to adjust to losing an hour of sleep. One of my favorite things . . .
Puzzles! It's so relaxing to sit and do a puzzle. I love when my family joins in and we work together.I am creating . . .
cozy corners around our home with things that speak to my heart in hopes to bring warmth to the space with a simplicity of past times.I am wearing . . .
denim jean leggings, a layered top and fuzzy socks with some slippers.I am listening to . . .
my tea kettle warming up.I am hoping . . .
that I feel like myself soon and have more energy to do all the things my head keeps planning.I am learning . . .
beside my girls! We are behind in the lesson plans I had written out for this year with all the trials of death, chipped bones, and illnesses. But we have truly learned a lot about love, grief, and working together in times of need. Heart lessons! These are greater lessons of life that any textbook can lay out. It's our very own history. In my kitchen . . .
