Slow Moments - Motherhood

...because life is beautiful!
Twenty-five years ago, a child I prayed for, started teaching me about motherhood.  A baby, a gift, fully dependent.  My days changed, my nights changed, my heart changed.  She challenged me, really challenged me, to be a better mama. As she grew, I grew.  It’s a mission of love that continually grows.  She’s now a mama and the next generation is beginning.  Her nights are now long and exhausting and I get to reap the harvest once again.  Motherhood is journey that I continue to travel.  Life is beautiful!

...because fresh basil, avocado, and mozzarella drizzled with balsamic on a toasted bagel is a favorite breakfast.

...because a new tablecloth brought light into the dining room.

...because this recent blog post inspired me to play more games with my family.

...because brother-in-laws are great teachers when you are raised in a family of all girls.

...because my husband knows me. {love & honor}

He found a patch of wildflowers on the side of the road and texted me a picture.  If you look closely, each petal is heart shaped!

...because it warmed my heart to bring out our patriotic colors for Decoration Day and remember freedom was not free.
